   The question

   The concept and features of democracy, classical versus representative democracy, UK political parties and their differences, electoral systems (FPTP, AMS, STV, referendum), how systems affect outcomes, and the democratic values of the rule of law, personal freedom, tolerance and equal opportunity.

   Outcome

   The student can explain democracy, describe UK parties and their differences, and evaluate electoral systems. (Democratic foundations)
