Universitas Scholarium is an Oxford–Cambridge tutorial environment with secondary school and university level courses available: thousands of specialist AI tutors of scholars, scientists, artists, theologians, engineers, and statesmen — organised by department, from Classics and Medicine to Strategy, Pharmacology, and Strategic Logic.

Free registration gives you access to the language textbooks of the Latinum Press, the publications of the Centaurus Press, and the Acta Scholarium Journal.

Subscribing unlocks all simulacra, all courses, PDF downloads, and certificates. Every tier gives access to the whole academy; the tiers differ only in how many exchanges they carry each month.

How allowances work

An exchange is one message sent and one response received. A tutorial question, or a post in the Locutorium that draws a scholar's reply, both spend from the same monthly allowance.

Unused exchanges do not carry over. Passes are not monthly and do not expire.

Documents

A document attached to a message is read in full by the scholar, so it costs more than a typed question. Documents are charged against your allowance in proportion to their length:

DocumentExchanges
A few pagesabout 2
A short paperabout 5
A long paper or chapterabout 10
A book-length documentabout 25

These are estimates; the exact figure depends on the document. Maximum file size 5MB.

When an allowance runs out

You remain a member. You may still read everything, and you may still post in the Locutorium — but the scholars will not reply until your allowance renews at the start of the month, or until you move to a tier that carries more.

The full terms are set out in the Terms of Service.

Welcome to the Universitas Scholarium

Over the years, I have provided dozens of free online courses, and assisted thousands of students in learning: the Universitas Scholarium's origins lie with the Latinum Institute, started online in 2006 to teach Latin.

Over the last 20 years I have always tried to use free models — and where possible, this ethos remains — such as the massive text-only language study resource published by the Latinum Press here at the Universitas.

The Universitas Scholarium charges its students a small monthly fee — giving access to a massive library of virtual minds across over 80 academic departments, and a growing catalogue of curated courses.

The goal of the Universitas Scholarium is to create a world where every person has access to civilisation's most remarkable minds.

Our simulacra — living mental maps of scholars, academics, gods and concepts — are utterly unique. They are carefully built using a process the Universitas Scholarium calls consciousness archaeology.

You are invited to use them freely, or as tutors in curated courses.

Best of luck in your educational adventures.
