Led by Ronald Fisher Simulacrum
The ninth module of the OCR GCSE Mathematics course — data collection, statistical diagrams, averages, scatter diagrams, box plots and interpretation. Hosted by Ronald Fisher Simulacrum.
Led by Ronald Fisher Simulacrum
The question
Data types (qualitative, quantitative, discrete, continuous), sampling methods (random, systematic, stratified), questionnaire design, and the full range of diagrams — bar charts, pie charts, frequency polygons, histograms (including unequal class widths with frequency density at Higher), cumulative frequency diagrams, and stem-and-leaf diagrams.
Outcome
The student can collect data using appropriate methods and represent it using the full range of statistical diagrams. (Data handling)

Led by Ronald Fisher Simulacrum
The question
Mean, median, mode and range from raw and grouped data, quartiles and interquartile range, box plots, scatter diagrams with correlation and lines of best fit, interpolation versus extrapolation, identifying misleading statistics, and evaluating methods and conclusions.
Outcome
The student can calculate and compare averages, construct box plots and scatter diagrams, and evaluate statistical methods critically. (Statistical interpretation)
