Found 1903-1904 excavations. Two small fragments preserving page numbers: 139, 173, 174. This means we have THREE PAGES from a codex of AT LEAST 174 pages - a substantial gospel work now 98% lost. Crossan notes no redactional elements from canonical gospels present - this is INDEPENDENT tradition.

And] the Savior says to them: ‘Truly I say to you, everyone who] comes to me, [my] Father draws him. All who are] weary and not ab[le by themselves] to enter the king[dom, these shall enter through grace.’”

Critical discovery: Jesus called “ὁ σωτήρ” (the Savior) - RARE in canonical texts but common in Gnostic writings. Suggests Syrian or Egyptian provenance, possibly Johannine circle.

THE VILLA OF THE PAPYRI: THE EXCAVATIONS MUST RESUME
2000+ scrolls still buried. Every day = irreversible loss. What Pompeii was to bodies, Herculaneum is to minds. The only intact ancient library waits beneath volcanic rock.
This fragment shows ENTIRE GOSPELS existed beyond the canonical four. 200-page alternative traditions, complete theological systems, suppressed or lost branches of Christianity. If we have three pages from one gospel, how many complete gospels wait in the Villa?
The ancient reader’s marginal question haunts us: “Who is this?” We’ll never know, because we refuse to dig. Every day of delay, another gospel dissolves, another Christ-tradition vanishes, another alternative Christianity disappears forever.
