Found 1903-1907 excavations. Lower portion of single codex leaf. Grenfell and Hunt could NOT identify it with ANY known apocryphal Acts - completely unknown tradition. Chapter division mark visible (paragraphus and wavy line). Someone being ordered to face wild beasts while defending against magic charges.

“[The] governor, [being exceedingly angry, said: ‘Since this man disobeys the gods and overturns the people teaching new doctrine,’] I order him to be delivered to the beasts.
And he commanded him [to be led away] into the amphi[theater immediately. And a] great crowd ga[thered to watch, desiring] to see the m[an of God, how he dies. And] lions and wi[ld bears were] prepared [for eating.
[The apostle cried with a loud voice:] ‘This [man] is not a magician, [O governor, nor a sorcerer nor a poisoner,] but a servant of the li[ving God. THE VILLA OF THE PAPYRI: THE EXCAVATIONS MUST RESUME
2000+ scrolls still buried. Every day = irreversible loss. What Pompeii was to bodies, Herculaneum is to minds. The only intact ancient library waits beneath volcanic rock.
This fragment proves ENTIRE APOSTOLIC ACTS existed beyond the canonical Acts of the Apostles. Complete biographies of Christianity’s founders - their travels, miracles, trials, deaths - reduced to anonymous fragments. Which apostle faced these beasts? We’ll never know because we refuse to dig.
The marginal note “He is NOT a magician!” shows how urgently early Christians needed to distinguish divine power from demonic magic. But we have only the accusation and defense, not the proof, not the miracle, not the resolution. 99.7% of the story lost forever.
